How do I apply?

Applying for ARKids First is easy.

• Apply online at https://access.arkansas.gov/Welcome.aspx (This link will open in a new window. To return to this website, close the window.)
• Or print and complete an application to send to your local DHS office.

The only paperwork you will need to submit with your application is proof of your children's ages and, if they are not U.S. citizens, proof of alien status.

You can print the application from your computer (en espaņol). You may also print eligibility information. The application and eligibility information are PDF files; that is, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader software to see the files. If Acrobat Reader is not installed on your computer, download it free so you can print the application and eligibility information. Fill out the printed application and send it to your local Department of Human Services office.

If you are viewing this website at a public library and you aren't sure how to print the application, ask the librarian to assist you.

Or call our toll-free hotline at 1-888-474-8275, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and all the application information will be mailed to you.

Applications also are available throughout the community at local health units, hospitals, churches, daycare centers, pharmacies and public schools.
